Hotel New Otani Tokyo Dining

Hotel New Otani Tokyo Dining

If you have been following my blog posts lately, you probably know that I was in Tokyo recently and stayed at the prestigious Hotel New Otani Tokyo in central Tokyo. As I already said in my previous post, this is a large and luxurious hotel, which has many great things to offer apart from its amazing guest rooms. The hotel itself encompasses three buildings and these are the New Otani Garden Court, New Otani Garden Tower, and the Main in which I had the pleasure of staying. These three buildings house a large selection of fine restaurants, nice bars, and classy lounge. In fact, there are 38 restaurants, 18 of which are hotel restaurants, and 20 which are tenant restaurants.

Since I was there only for a few days, I did not have the time to try many of them, but those that I did have the chance to visit, I really loved. The first one was a buffet restaurant called "Satsuki" located on the lobby floor of the main building. Since I was guest of the hotel I had received coupons for complimentary breakfast for each day of my stay there, so I visited this fine establishment a few times. I am a really big fan of buffet-style restaurants, so as you might have guessed, this was a big treat for me. I sat aside an hour and a half each morning just to enjoy this amazing breakfast at a relaxing pace. Both Japanese and western food is offered here and both are equally good. I especially enjoyed the freshly prepared omelets with ham, cheese, and mushrooms. The food was so good there that it was really hard to stop eating, especially since there were so many options there and I wanted to try as many different dishes as I could.

Even though I had a healthy breakfast and some snacks during the day, by the time I had returned to the hotel, I was already very hungry. I headed to the "View & Dining The Sky" buffet restaurant on the top of the hotel to have a nice dinner and enjoy the 360-degree view of the city that this restaurant is famous for.

Another place where I would have breakfast while I was there was the Garden Lounge which is also located on the lobby floor of the hotel. There I was able to enjoy another tasty buffet breakfast, but this time with a spectacular view of the Japanese garden that this hotel is famous for. À la carte items that are available there include sandwiches, pasta, soup and salads, with drinks and light meals offered during cocktail hours.

On my last day there, I went to "Trader Vic's", a nice restaurant decorated in the South Pacific style. There you can enjoy specialties such as smoked meat, fish and fowl.

There are so many things that you can do in this hotel, and you will need to stay here for many days to be able to experience all of them. That is why I will be returning to this hotel for sure on my next trip across Japan. I strongly suggest to all of you that you check out their website and learn more about the prestigious Hotel New Otani Tokyo.

Hotel New Otani Tokyo - "Shin-Edo" Room

Hotel New Otani Tokyo - "Shin-Edo" Room

As you probably already know, I spent the better part of September on a trip across Japan, with the goal of seeing as much as possible that this great country has to offer and to present all of that to you. During this trip, I had the luck of staying at one of Tokyo's most prestigious hotels, Hotel New Otani Tokyo. This great hotel is located in the heart of Tokyo and it is probably the biggest and most luxurious hotel in which I stayed at. Hotel New Otani Tokyo has the capability to provide world-class service to over 2000 guests, and it is equipped with a wide variety of additional facilities such as meeting areas, shops, restaurants, and the absolutely breathtaking traditional Japanese garden.

I had the pleasure of staying in one of the most recently decorated rooms called the "Shin-Edo" room. According to the hotel's website, this room has the goal of showcasing their innovative approach to Japanese hospitality, and I have to say that they succeeded with flying colors. I knew that I was going to a high-class luxury hotel and that the room and the service there would be extraordinary, but this exceeded even my expectations. I remember first walking into the room and being blown away by the immense size of the room and the beautiful garden that could be seen right through the window. I was also pleasantly surprised by the gifts that were waiting for me in the room; a small souvenir and some complimentary drinks and snacks as well.

The things that caught my eye first were the double-sized beds and a large flat-screen TV. Also, there were huge windows whose blinds I could control with a press of a button which I found quite amusing. Some other things that were included in the room were a work desk, a few chairs, a small table and the rest of the furniture that you would expect in a hotel like this one.

One of the main features of this room was the traditional Japanese Cypress wood bath. Bathing here almost made me feel like I was in a traditional onsen somewhere in rural Japan. I Immensely enjoyed preparing the traditional bath, especially after a long day of sightseeing, so I definitely recommend this room to all fans of onsens. As you might expect, the room was filled with a wide variety of amenities such as free Internet access & Wi-Fi, in-room safe, refrigerator, Japanese tea set, hairdryer, towels, pajamas, bathrobe and a large number of consumable toiletries.

All in all, it was truly a great experience to stay here. I loved everything that this room and Hotel New Otani Tokyo had to offer, and I'm sure I will be coming again to this hotel when I visit Tokyo again. I wholeheartedly recommend that you check out the website at this hotel, and consider it as an option if you plan on coming here soon.

Hotel New Otani Tokyo

Hotel New Otani Tokyo

During my trip across Japan this September, I had the luxury of staying at many amazing hotels and the chance to experience things I never did before. But one of the highlights of this entire trip was definitely the Hotel New Otani Tokyo. This hotel is located in Tokyo's Chiyoda City at the very heart of Tokyo. Many famous tourist destinations such as the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, and Kanda Shrine are located only a short trip away.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Akasaka-Mitsuke Station, so if you take the subway there you do not have to walk along to reach the hotel. I was very tired from my trip so I was lucky that I didn't have to walk a long time to reach it. Hotel New Otani Tokyo has 3 buildings included and these are the New Otani Garden Court, New Otani Garden Tower, and the Main in which my room was located. It also has a spectacular Japanese garden that is over 400 years old. I have to say that the garden was truly one of the selling points for me personally, and I strolled through it many times when I was there. One thing that amazed me when I finally arrived at the hotel was its sheer size. As I already said, it incorporates three buildings and has a capacity of over 2000 visitors, all of which are provided with world-class care. There are also many meeting halls and banquet rooms inside the hotel itself. Because of that, Hotel New Otani Tokyo is often used as a venue for many summits and meetings. One more perk of this hotel is a large number of restaurants, bars, and lounges, all of which are high class and extremely luxurious. As a matter of fact, there are 38 restaurants and 33 banquet rooms in this hotel. One part of the hotel that I especially enjoyed was the buffet restaurant "View & Dining The Sky" located at the top of the hotel. It offers a wide variety of meals all with a spectacular 360-degree view of the city.

Regarding the room in which stayed, as you probably guessed it, it was absolutely amazing. It was just what I expected from a hotel such as this and, in many ways, it exceeded my expectations. I will talk more about the room in a following blog post so stay tuned. I also loved the decor of the hotel which was clearly inspired by a fusion of traditional Japanese and modern Western style.

As I already said, one of the main selling points of this hotel is the spectacular traditional Japanese garden. It contains a wide variety of flowers, trees, bushes, and other foliage. It is decorated in a traditional style and contains several ponds and even a big waterfall which is a perfect place to take some unforgettable photos. There's also a restaurant located right in the center of the garden so you can dine while being surrounded by this beautiful nature. This amazing garden truly feels like an oasis of peace and serenity in a buzzing city that never sleeps.

Honestly, this was one of the most impressive hotels I have ever been to, and I am looking forward to coming here again. If you like what you see, I strongly suggest that you check out the website of the Hotel New Otani Tokyo for more information. Also, stay tuned to this blog for more of my adventures in Japan.
